New Silverline DUO integration kits have embedded command and control for full playback of Livio Car Internet Radio with selected factory radio systems.
May 11, 2011 - Signal Hill, CA — DICE Electronics today announced the arrival of the 2011 Silverline DUO Integration Kits with Livio Car Internet Radio. iPhone users now have full control over the 45,000 plus Internet radio stations through the Livio Radio Car Internet app and a compatible car factory radio, with no monthly fees.
The DICE Silverline DUO is a simple plug and play automotive interface capable of giving users access to their iPhone/iPod, SIRUS Satellite Radio and now the Livio Car Internet Radio application. The connected iPhone application is controlled through car stereo’s built-in controls on touch screen radios, steering wheel or the center consol.
“Working with Livio Radio allows us to offer users more music options with our automotive integration technology and we’re proud to be the first to market with OEM add on and upgrade kits for car Internet radio,” said Stephen Witt, Executive Vice President at DICE Electronics.
“I quit listening to CDs when I purchased my satellite radio back in 2003, I cancelled my satellite radio subscription when I installed the DICE Duo plus Livio into my car,” Livio Radio founder and CEO Jake Sigal said. “I’m excited we can finally share our engineering development with the rest of the world.”
The DICE DUO featuring Livio Car Internet Radio requires the use of an iPhone running iOS 4.2 or higher and the Livio app Version 2.2.0. The award-winning Livio Car Internet Radio in-vehicle experience offers subscription-free Internet radio with a display of the station, current song information, stored presets and no monthly fees. Users must have an active wireless data connection in order to stream music from the Car Internet Radio app.
